Sen.Obama Clarifies His Remarks About Rural Pehttp://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/13/us/politics/13campaign.htmlnnsylvanians

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/13/us/politics/13campaign.html My family and I originated in the woodlands of Pennsylvania ourselves. I can tell you first hand that Barack Obama's comments do have some truth to them. The rural commuities do tend to be isolated, and insolar. The residents tend to distrust/dislike outsiders. They generaly are known to be superstitious, and fear potential witchcraft. They also keep firearms, to protect themselves from predators, human as well as animal. However, for the most part, they are also law abiding. They pay for hunting/driving liscences, and have there cars/guns registered as well, as required by law. Pennsylvanians certainly can seem different from the rest of the country, but they are not particularly dangerous. Especialy not anabaptist peace churches, like the Amish.
