New York State Senator Proposes Searching Social Media History As Prerequisite For Gun License

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2018/12/04/gun-license-sen-kevin-parker-says-social-media-check-required/2200158002/    In an unconscionable , and I believe unconstitutional , disregard for civil liberty , and personal privacy , State Senator Kevin Parker  has introduced a bill to make mandatory that applicants for gun licenses turn over passwords for such social network platform accounts as Facebook , and Twitter , so that their posting history over the past three years can be gone over for possible indications of such things as racism , for example . Now usually on my blog I tend to call out the Republican right . But this time it's a Democrat who has shown himself to be the would be infringer of individual civil rights . This piece of proposed legislation would gather personal information , without a warrant , in an investigation of what would essentially be a thought crime . And would anti-white gun owners also be potentially penalized under this suggested law , or can only white people be considered to be racist ?  Also , as an aside , I just today learned that the before mentioned sponsor of this introduced bill has himself a history of inflammatory commentary on Twitter . https://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/ny-pol-parker-giove-rants-20181218-story.html    So I feel that those in glass houses should not be so quick to throw stones .
