Martial Law Act of 2006http://www.lewrockwell.com/bovard/bovard56.html

http://www.lewrockwell.com/bovard/bovard56.html This law gives the president the authority to rule through the military, as Commander in Chief. All that he would need to do is just declare a state of "national emergency". This is similar to the Roman Dictators, during the days of the Republic. Eventually the dictators, which were supposed to hold power for a limited amount of time, became despotic emperors, called Caesars. I feel that America is also on the way to becoming an empire, under Pax Americana. This is also similar to how, in the "Star Wars" series, Palpatine came to hold absolute power. History tends to repeat itself. And Art seems to imitate life. Will we someday need to form a "Rebel Alliance"? Only time will tell.

Earth Day 2008http://www.earthsite.org/

http://www.earthsite.org/ In a few days it will be Earth Day. We should all celebrate our mother earth as we address the issues of alternative energy, conservation of natural resources, and global warming. Here was what John Denver had to say about things. http://www.lyrics007.com/John%20Denver%20Lyrics/Windsong%20Lyrics.html "The wind is the whisper of our mother the earth The wind is the hand of our father the sky The wind watches over our struggles and pleasures The wind is the goddess who first learned to fly The wind is the bearer of bad and good tidings The weaver of darkness, the bringer of dawn The wind brings the rain then builds us a rainbow The wind is the singer who sang the first song. The wind is the twister of anger and warning The wind brings the fragrance of freshly mown hay The wind is the racer and wild stallion running and the sweet taste of love on a slow summer's day. The wind knows the songs of our cities and canyons The thunder of mountain, the roar of the sea The wind is the taker and giver of mornings. The wind is the symbol of all that is free. So welcome the wind and the wisdom she offers Follow her summons when she calls again. In your heart and your spirit let the breezes surround you Lift up your voice then and sing with the wind: La la la la la la la la la la la la la dee dee dee dee dee dee dee oooooooo"

Anarchism and American Traditions

http://www.infoshop.org/texts/voltairine_traditions.html Here is a historic essay, which is still relevant today. It illustrates how the U.S.A. has lost it's way, and it's liberty. It's amazing how the more things change the more they stay the same.

Target Exploits Labour Too

http://socialistalternative.org/news/article14.php?id=694 I really don't know which stores I can conscientiously patronise. It seems like they almost all engage in anti-union, and/or sweat shop practises. When I finally get a full-time job, I hope that I will be able to have favouable working conditions.

Descendents of Accused Witch Demand Apology

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/13/opinion/13sun2.html?th&emc=th Similar things have taken place in Saudi Arabia. If the modern day puritans, the christian reconstructionists/dominionists, ever attain power in America, it could happen again too. Indivisuals should be able to believe and live as they see fit, as long as they are not harming anyone else. Religious fundamentalists should mind there own buisness, and take care of there own souls.

Sen.Obama Clarifies His Remarks About Rural Pehttp://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/13/us/politics/13campaign.htmlnnsylvanians

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/13/us/politics/13campaign.html My family and I originated in the woodlands of Pennsylvania ourselves. I can tell you first hand that Barack Obama's comments do have some truth to them. The rural commuities do tend to be isolated, and insolar. The residents tend to distrust/dislike outsiders. They generaly are known to be superstitious, and fear potential witchcraft. They also keep firearms, to protect themselves from predators, human as well as animal. However, for the most part, they are also law abiding. They pay for hunting/driving liscences, and have there cars/guns registered as well, as required by law. Pennsylvanians certainly can seem different from the rest of the country, but they are not particularly dangerous. Especialy not anabaptist peace churches, like the Amish.

Alicia Keys Expresses her Political Feelingshttp://apnews.myway.com/article/20080411/D8VVUAHG0.html

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20080411/D8VVUAHG0.html http://www.blender.com/articles/default.aspx?key=21056&pg=2Alicia Keys, in an interview, recently expressed admiration for the Black Panther Party. The original Black Panthershttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Panther_Party were not racist. It's the unrelated New Black Panther Party http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Black_Panther_Party which is hostile to whites. There even was at one time a white counterpart to the black panthers, called the "Young Patriots" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Patriots_Organization. I feel that Alecia Keyes is just a militant marxist, like "The Coup" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Coup. Of course there has always been left-wing political commentary in the history of American music, like with the Almanac Singers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almanac_Singers, and The Weavers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Weavers.

Calls for Boycott of 2008 Olympic Games, in Beijing http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/6668485.stm

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/6668485.stm I feel that boycotting the olmpics violates the spirit of the games. Sparta http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sparta did not have an ideal society, by modern standards. Yet they still were allowed to compete with other city states, like Athens. In 1936, Nazi Germany hosted the Olympics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berlin_Olympics Was participating in the games condoning National Socialism? I think not. In Berlin, Jesse Owens, a black man, won the gold medal. Thereby proving to the world that the negroid race is just as strong as the caucusoid. The olympic games were first held to promote friendship and peace. So I do feel however that the PRC should agree to a truce with the province of Tibet, for the duration of the games.

Neo-cons Threaten Dissidents.http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/november2007/161107_beck_smears.htm

http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/november2007/161107_beck_smears.htm This is the reason why we have the second amendment. The neo-cons, many of whom were at one time either bolsheviks and/or "red diaper babies", are intolerant of opposition. Unfortunately we may have to have another civil war to defeat them. For those who feel that the Constitution will protect us, the Soviet Union also had a constitution with a bill of rights, even under Stalin. Yet in the end "might makes right". I don't know about you, but this makes me want to buy some weapons. I'm not giving up without a fight. It's us libertarians whom are the true defenders of our constitutional liberty, not the military. People should only be prosecuted for acts, not thoughts. And if the reactionary Right is looking for terrorists, they just might get some. Hopefuly we will never again have to wear the red triangle.
