Pres. Obama Tells Turkey That We Are Not A "Christian Nation"

As he mentioned in his inaugural address, the United States of America is not, nor have we ever been a christian nation. Recently, he reliterated this in his speech to the Turks, during a press conference. http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2009/04/obama_and_president_gul_of_tur.html And he is absolutely correct too. In the "Treaty of Tripoli', for example, in Article 11, states this.
"Art. 11. As the Government
of the United States of America
is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion;
as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or
tranquility, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States
never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is
declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall
ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries." http://www.nobeliefs.com/Tripoli.htm Despite what some may tell you. Our founding fathers did not intend for America to be governed by biblical laws. And our enemies are not muslims per se, but radical islamists. And the dominionist theonomy would be no different from a caliphate, under shariah, except in regards to the religion.
