There they will learn to have a respect for our democratic principles, while still maintaining reverence for there faith, just as there christian counterparts do. This should help them to become more readily integrated into our culture, and also reassure suspicious people that they are good citizens. On a related note, it mentioned in the article that pre-pubescent girls are made to wear hijab. This I feel to be an unnecessary subjugation to the patriarchial rule of the elders of there ethno-religious community. However the Girl Scouts are not like the Young Pioneers, which exists in countries ruled by a Communist party. Therefore they should be allowed to set there own standards regarding uniforms.
