Therefore no competition is possible, as it operates from a singular power grid. First Energy, which is a private corporation, has a state contract to provide us with electricity. This legal arraingment was what Karl Marx refered to as the "dictatorship of the bourgeois". For all of these above mentioned reasons, I as a socialist personally feel that the energy companies should be publicly owned. For the private industries are, in my opinion, price gouging.
