I.C.E. Brutally Occupies Minneapolis

 I have decided to once again come out of my hiatus to comment of the atrocious actions taken by I.C.E. in Minnesota , and this being against U.S. citizens no less .

The only remaining question is how to best proceed .  I have come to support the non-violent tactics of resistance , set forth by the late , renowned , Gene Sharp , which I shall post at the bottom of this post . However , as Pres. John F. Kennedy , and Kwame Ture , have so bluntly put it .... 

Now , if we the people are to conclude that , with a psychopathic , malignant narcissist , like Trump in office , non-violence would be futile , then we shall be in for a long bloody revolutionary civil war .  And the insurgents will undoubtedly be deemed to be domestic terrorists , and be treated accordingly . Why , even peaceable activists are being referred to as such , by this administration.  So , I feel that we mustn't be too hasty in taking action against the federal government . The situation calls for prudent preparation .  But whatever course is taken , people will wind up being killed , on both sides .  And another thing is that the government forces would be having superior military technology. This won't be like the U.S. Civil War , or even the Spanish Civil War , but rather "Star Wars" .  So I think that , funny enough , like with Iran , the United States might require a foreign intervention to finally deliver the nation from totalitarian theocratic domination .

In closing , I as an individual person am not to be burdened with the choice as to what to do going forward . 

Both organizations , and nations , shall be tasked with the non-enviable decision of how to act in the face of such threats of aggression , and continued oppression .  All that I will conclude by saying is that , if there is such a thing as a right of revolution , then the time is now .  And if not , then it still cannot rightly be considered treason , as the United States itself is the product of a revolution .  So how can anyone be a traitor in relation to a regime that itself has been a traitor to the British Crown ?  And so , even as the red coats were opposed , so must the goons of the federal government be resisted , by any and all means necessary and proper . Peaceably if possible , and forcibly whenever appropriate .  This is my stance as it pertains to revolutionary defensivism , without initiation , or even retaliation of force . Merely standing our ground in self defense , as the need arises .  For it is the Trump administration that has initiated this conflict by setting out to menace those of us on the radical left . And not for our actions , but rather simply due to our opinions .  Those such as myself have been guilty thus far of committing nothing more than a thought crime .  My resistance has so far taken the form of dissidence , rather than of violence .  How events proceed going forward depends upon the approach taken by the powers that be . And we the people shall then respond accordingly .  With the nation being on the brink of a revolution , these are my thoughts , as protected under the precedent setting case of Brandenburg v. Ohio . 

I.C.E. Appropriates Sabrina Carpenter's Song "Juno"

 While on the surface the use of a clip from a pop song for a propaganda video might seem to be outlandish , in regards to the memefication of U.S. politics , especially in relation to the culture wars , it isn't all that surprising .  I had read the lyrics to "Juno" , after reading this article from The Guardian . 

And I can see how , no matter how unintentional , some of the lines could be co-opted by alt-right fascist / white nationalist propagandists .  Take these for example .

 This brings to mind the Sydney Sweeney advertisement controversy , in reference to eugenics .  This is especially applicable , considering that like Sweeney , Sabrina Carpenter is a blue eyed blonde , which are considered to be favorable physical traits , according to Nazi racial theory .

Now I do not necessarily expect Sabrina Carpenter to be cognizant of such implicit references . After all , unlike the likes of me , she's not a history and/or politics nerd . And from what I gather , like a number of celebrities , she's expressed endorsement of Democratic candidates , such as namely Kamala Harris . But it's just that both her image and lyrics can end up being weaponized by culture warriors in the service of their agenda .  And it's not all that hard for those like myself to anticipate how the extreme right-wing ethnic nationalists might utilize such themes for their own devices , no matter how much the words may have gotten twisted .  As mentioned in the B.I.T.E. Model , this is something that cults , including for instance the political cult of personality revolving around Pres. Trump , use in terms of information control .

Pres. Trump Assails Congressional Critics

I just wanted to point out the horribly hypocritical double standard that the right-wing authoritarian nationalists have in this country . It's not like the Congress members in question were inciting a mutiny . And furthermore could you imagine the uproar that would have ensued if then Pres. Biden had cracked down on the Oath Keepers , for seditious activity ?

I anticipate that the militia movement in America would have wound up showing Biden what an actual rebellion looks like , with armed resistance . That's the thing , in my opinion, as to why it is that Pres. Trump is such a dumb grump . He will act out as if he is a would be despotic tyrant , and then throw a hissy fit when certain troubled people take the perceived threat that he poses seriously to heart . Such as by subsequently engaging in everything from not only assassination , and/or terrorism , but also activism , including direct action / civil resistance . Like , if ever there were a time to invoke our civil rights under both the first and second amendments , it's now or never . If such usurpation continues to be committed by this administration , it will entail the rightful need for a revolution . Preferably if practicable by such non-violent tactics as laid out by the likes of both George Lakey , and Gene Sharp , and if required in self defense against the likes of death squads , then by guerilla warfare .

It should go without saying that such a drastic response should only be as a last resort , if all other lawful , and peaceful means were to be exhausted , and thereby fail to be successful .

But , like the late Patrick Henry , I do believe in the right of revolution . And to quote from him , "If this be treason , then make the most of it ."

But , according to the legal precedent set by Brandenburg v. Ohio , neither my words , or that of the Congressional delegation , counts as being seditious speech . Like , I parse my words very carefully , especially by using my knowledge as a certificated paralegal , so as not to be liable to face arrest .

That's if the powers that be even so much as pretend to be law abiding . At any rate , we the people of the United States need to know where we stand in relation to the political power , as to what liberty we possess versus whatever authority the government holds .

Like , is this a free state , under constitutional law , or a police state , under martial law ? Time will tell all too well .

Code Red In America

 I am afraid that this most recent National Security Presidential Memorandum 7 spells the end of political freedom , and expression of personal opinion , in this country .  Now it's not enough that the secret police state go offer actual terrorists for their violent actions , even merely expressing opinions that the powers that be regard as being extremist , can result in persecution , and prosecution of what constitutes nothing more than a thought crime .  And from the sounds of it , not only shall associations be targeted by this despotic directive , but even persons could potentially be arrested for their attitudes . Not for conspiring to carry out violence , but for nothing more than for their dissident , and especially militancy .  The bitter irony , from what I recall from living in the 90's , during the Clinton administration , is that if the " basket of deplorables " , that make up the "vast right-wing conspiracy" were to have been so blatantly menaced in this manner , the militia movement would then show the feds just what actual terrorism looks like .  However for the most part at least , those of us on the far left have refrained from resorting to armed insurrection .  And I , as has consistently been advocated throughout this blog , believe that aside from within the context of revolutionary defensivism violence shouldn't be engaged in .  We must defend both ourselves and the beloved community from being assailed , and our rights trampled upon by the boots of federal government goons .  However we must never initiate force . Especially as this repressive regime is looking for even the slightest pretext to crack down on the anti-fascist opposition , by holding us all as being guilty by association . But all of us who are able to go underground into hiding , in my opinion , should do so . For it is no longer safe to freely operate in this country , for it is no longer the land of the free .  Not that it ever was always an entirety free country to begin with .  I just recently heard of this attempt on Fmr. Pres. Usually violence only begets further carnage . And that's if an attempted assassination even succeeds in the first place . I mean , for example , Hitler survived multiple attempted assassinations .  I have just read of the seemingly aggressive suppression of the heated demonstration against Israel's ferocious actions in Gaza . Sentiments have become heated on all sides , and everyone has self righteously proclaimed that they are on the side of God , and/or justice . I just feel that, more than demonstration , what is needed is good faith communication . People need to gain a larger fairer perspective on the situation in Israel/Palestine , and how it is impacting the lives of all of its inhabitants , Christian , Jewish , and Muslim alike . Personally , I think that Israel must rightly recognize the equal rights of its non-Jewish citizens , and residents , to that of the Jewish population in the land , and end the apartheid and genocide . As a number of Jewish thinkers have though out time expressed , such as for a few examples Martin Buber , Albert Einstein , and Hannah Arendt their must be justice for all , in the promised land , Arab , Jew , the Goyim , and Zerah Israel alike , regardless of background or belief . But in turn the Palestinian resistance among which are the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine , and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine , must commit to just conduct in their fighting back against the reactionary Zionist onslaught , in accordance with just war theory , not only for the sake of sound ethics , but also for the sake of good optics . Florida Bans Books

 In both a case of life imitating art, and of history repeating itself , Florida has been banning a sizable number of books of various subject matter. This is along the same sort of lines as what had happened in the Third Reich, under Hitler, as illustrated in this book , and movie,  I have read and seen, called " The Book Thief" . I believe that any ideology, whether on the political right or left, religious or secular, can potentially become a basis for totalitarianism. Such regimes realize that ideas have substantial power, that unlike people cannot be so easily killed.  I feel that all information should be critically analyzed , and proof read, not simply censored but in good faith carefully considered. But the cults and the states they control are not so willing to compete in the marketplace of ideas. Resistance Rises Against " Cop City"

The video goes into even more extensive detail about what all people's concerns are regarding this training camp. I personally feel that it would be best if the people and the power were to do right by each other, and find a way to get along in good faith. The disconnect between the public and the political powers that be is resulting in conflict, whether or not one thinks that the stated concerns are valid or not. I find this to be yet another example of both the distrust that people are having towards those in authority, and also the disregard that the power has been having for the issues that people have taken with its projects and policies. Such problems must be suitably resolved. 

Will Smith Assaults Chris Rock

There are rules concerning such affairs of honor . By sucker striking Rock, Smith not only inflicted bodily trauma but also inflicted humiliation, and degradation upon Rock's manly honor . I don't feel that it can be said with any certainty whether or not Chris Rock had known beforehand about Jada Pinkette Smith's alopecia. If he had, I think that his wisecrack was especially out of line. But be as it may, there is no rightful justification of the initiation of violence in response to verbal insults. All persons deserve the right to feel secure , and no one has the right not to feel offended. This is the price of living in a free civil society.

A Libertarian Response to Pres. Biden's Vaccine Mandate

If any figure , especially still alive , is given the worshipful adoration that should rightly belong to the Most High alone , then that figure is the object of a personality cult , and from a Christian standpoint is an Antichrist .

I feel that any so called anarcho-capitalists / voluntaryists among my audience can be expected to vote for the Libertarian presidential candidate , Jo Jorgenson , and any Communalists would feel best served in voting for the Green , Howie Hawkins .  However , unfortunately , we do not live in a representative democracy , where the popular vote determines the outcome of presidential elections .  So those , such as myself , who have the misfortune of living in a swing state , might feel compelled to vote for the Democrat , Joe Biden , in order to at least try to safeguard whatever is left of the constitutional republic from any further erosion by the dictatorship of Donald Trump .  I don't judge anyone's choice , one way or the other . Just as long as you vote in accordance with your  conscience . This is what I did , in the last election , when I voted for the Green candidate , Jill Stein.  And in spite of all that has since transpired , I still have no regrets .  But come what may , we mustn't unequivocally trust and support any public officials , whether on the left or on the right .  We must stay ever vigilant in challenging the actions of those in government .  I will admit that I fear that if I give my vote yet again to the Green , it could be letting the perfect become the enemy of the good .
