Americans Rise Up Against Corporate Capitalism

http://occupywallst.org/ Finally there is a popular social movement against Americas predatory economic system. Wall Street is the ultimate power behind Washington. The government seems to primarily serve the interests of property, rather than the safety of the public. I hope that there will be more actions taken by the common people against the social elite. I would also like to think that this revolution will remain non-violent, but much depends upon how the state responds to this challenge to the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie. I also feel that steps should be taken to establish alternatives to the existing economy. Such as through counter-economics http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter-economics

Hopefully this movement is the beginning of something huge. The immoral and undemocratic capitalist system must be replaced by democracy. The people must take the power back so they can take control over their own lives by direct democratic control of their communities and workplaces.

I do hope something meaningful comes out of it all. I think the group needs to get more focused on what it is they want. Higher wages, more profit sharing, a voice in the company for labor, etc all would be good.
