I.C.E. Appropriates Sabrina Carpenter's Song "Juno"

 While on the surface the use of a clip from a pop song for a propaganda video might seem to be outlandish , in regards to the memefication of U.S. politics , especially in relation to the culture wars , it isn't all that surprising .  I had read the lyrics to "Juno" , after reading this article from The Guardian . 

And I can see how , no matter how unintentional , some of the lines could be co-opted by alt-right fascist / white nationalist propagandists .  Take these for example .

Oh yeah, you just get it
Whole package, babe, I like the way you fit
God bless your dad's genetics, mm, uh 

 This brings to mind the Sydney Sweeney advertisement controversy , in reference to eugenics .  This is especially applicable , considering that like Sweeney , Sabrina Carpenter is a blue eyed blonde , which are considered to be favorable physical traits , according to Nazi racial theory .

And this chorus could bring to mind the "Lebensborn" program . 

Now I do not necessarily expect Sabrina Carpenter to be cognizant of such implicit references . After all , unlike the likes of me , she's not a history and/or politics nerd . And from what I gather , like a number of celebrities , she's expressed endorsement of Democratic candidates , such as namely Kamala Harris . But it's just that both her image and lyrics can end up being weaponized by culture warriors in the service of their agenda .  And it's not all that hard for those like myself to anticipate how the extreme right-wing ethnic nationalists might utilize such themes for their own devices , no matter how much the words may have gotten twisted .  As mentioned in the B.I.T.E. Model , this is something that cults , including for instance the political cult of personality revolving around Pres. Trump , use in terms of information control .

   b. Misquoting statements or using them out of context from non-cult sources 

So this wouldn't really be out of character for such a totalitarian movement to carry out such a tactic , in order to appeal to the popular masses , and establish cultural hegemony .  

Pres. Trump Assails Congressional Critics

I just wanted to point out the horribly hypocritical double standard that the right-wing authoritarian nationalists have in this country . It's not like the Congress members in question were inciting a mutiny . They , in like manner to the fictional Delegation of 2000 https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Delegation_of_2000 , were merely expressing concern that the U.S. Military could potentially be used to carry out an unconstitutional abuse of political power . And furthermore could you imagine the uproar that would have ensued if then Pres. Biden had cracked down on the Oath Keepers , for seditious activity ?

I anticipate that the militia movement in America would have wound up showing Biden what an actual rebellion looks like , with armed resistance . That's the thing , in my opinion, as to why it is that Pres. Trump is such a dumb grump . He will act out as if he is a would be despotic tyrant , and then throw a hissy fit when certain troubled people take the perceived threat that he poses seriously to heart . Such as by subsequently engaging in everything from not only assassination , and/or terrorism , but also activism , including direct action / civil resistance . Like , if ever there were a time to invoke our civil rights under both the first and second amendments , it's now or never . If such usurpation continues to be committed by this administration , it will entail the rightful need for a revolution . Preferably if practicable by such non-violent tactics as laid out by the likes of both George Lakey , and Gene Sharp , and if required in self defense against the likes of death squads , then by guerilla warfare .

It should go without saying that such a drastic response should only be as a last resort , if all other lawful , and peaceful means were to be exhausted , and thereby fail to be successful .

But , like the late Patrick Henry , I do believe in the right of revolution . And to quote from him , "If this be treason , then make the most of it ."

But , according to the legal precedent set by Brandenburg v. Ohio , neither my words , or that of the Congressional delegation , counts as being seditious speech . Like , I parse my words very carefully , especially by using my knowledge as a certificated paralegal , so as not to be liable to face arrest .

That's if the powers that be even so much as pretend to be law abiding . At any rate , we the people of the United States need to know where we stand in relation to the political power , as to what liberty we possess versus whatever authority the government holds .

Like , is this a free state , under constitutional law , or a police state , under martial law ? Time will tell all too well .

Code Red In America

 I am afraid that this most recent National Security Presidential Memorandum 7 spells the end of political freedom , and expression of personal opinion , in this country .  Now it's not enough that the secret police state go offer actual terrorists for their violent actions , even merely expressing opinions that the powers that be regard as being extremist , can result in persecution , and prosecution of what constitutes nothing more than a thought crime .  And from the sounds of it , not only shall associations be targeted by this despotic directive , but even persons could potentially be arrested for their attitudes . Not for conspiring to carry out violence , but for nothing more than for their dissident , and especially militancy .  The bitter irony , from what I recall from living in the 90's , during the Clinton administration , is that if the " basket of deplorables " , that make up the "vast right-wing conspiracy" were to have been so blatantly menaced in this manner , the militia movement would then show the feds just what actual terrorism looks like .  However for the most part at least , those of us on the far left have refrained from resorting to armed insurrection .  And I , as has consistently been advocated throughout this blog , believe that aside from within the context of revolutionary defensivism violence shouldn't be engaged in .  We must defend both ourselves and the beloved community from being assailed , and our rights trampled upon by the boots of federal government goons .  However we must never initiate force . Especially as this repressive regime is looking for even the slightest pretext to crack down on the anti-fascist opposition , by holding us all as being guilty by association . But all of us who are able to go underground into hiding , in my opinion , should do so . For it is no longer safe to freely operate in this country , for it is no longer the land of the free .  Not that it ever was always an entirety free country to begin with . Just look at the Alien and Sedition Acts , for a historic example .
